Materials:
Crochet hook (K)7mm
Caron Big Cakes or similar weight/ply yarn (4 medium)
Ruler (1-2 inch high) *use the same ruler for all squares
tapestry/yarn needle for weaving in ends scissors


Abbreviations:
* Magic Circle (MC)
* Slip Stitch (SLST.)
* Chain (CH)
* Single Crochet (SC)
* Half Double Crochet (HDC)
* Double Crochet (DC)
* Triple Crochet (TC)
* Off Set Stitch (OSS)
(Make a DC in the marked stitch, yarn over, *(move the hook in between the space of the DC and the previous DC. yarn over, pull up a loop) * repeat 2 times.Yarn over. Leaving 2 loops on the hook, pull through the loops. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops)


* Front Post Double Crochet (FPDC)
(Yarn over, working at the front of your work, place the hook under the marked stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2, yarn over, pull through 2. )


* Back Post Double Crochet (BPDC)
(Yarn over, working at the back of your work, place the hook under the marked stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull .through 2, yarn over, pull through 2.)


* Front Post Half Double Crochet (FPHDC)
(Yarn over, working at the front of your work, place your hook under the marked stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through all three loops)


* Back Post Half Double Crochet (BPHDC) (Yarn over, working at the back of your work, place your hook under the marked stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through all three loops)


* Loops (Loop)
(Slip stitch and pull up a big loop to fit over the ruler, place it on the ruler, remove your hook and tighten the loop to be snug on the ruler. Place your hook in the next stitch, slip stitch and pull up a loop and place it on the ruler and repeat.)


* Back Loop Only (BLO) Only crochet a stitch in the back loop.

Video Row 1) MC, *(sl.st in the MC, pull up a loop, place it on the ruler) x 36 (36loops)

Video Row 2) 3HDC in 3 loops x 3, ch1. Repeat.  slst in 1st HDC. (36 hdc)

Video Row 3) Ch3, dc behind the ch3 around the hdc. 1dc in the next 9 stitches. *((2DC, ch1, 2DC) in ch1 space. 1DC in the next 9 stitches) * x3. 2DC, ch1, around the hdc. Slst in the top of ch3. (52 dc)

Video Row 4) Ch3, DC behind the ch3 in ch1 space. BPDC x 13. *(( 2DC, ch1, 2DC) in the ch1 space. BPDC x 13) * x 3. 2DC, ch1 in ch1 space. Slst in top ch3. (68 DC)

Video Row 5) Ch3, DC behind the ch3 in ch1 space. Skip 1 stitch. Oss x 8, ((2DC, ch1, 2DC) in the ch1 space, skip 1 stitch, oss x8, (2dc, ch1, 2dc in ch1 space) slst in top ch3. (32 oss, 16DC)

Video Row 9) Slst in the ch1 space, pull up a loop, put it on the ruler x2. Pull up a loop in every stitch. *((Slst into the ch1 sp and pull up a loop) x4. Pull up a loop in every stitch. )x 3. (Slst in the ch1 space, pull up a loop) x2. (140 loops)

Video Row 10) Starting in the loop you made last, (2HDC in 2 loops). (3hdc in 3 loops)x 4, 5th group; 4 HDC in 4 loops, (3HDC, in 3 loops) till you reach the corner loops, (3HDC in 2 corner loops, CH1, 3HDC in last 2 corner loops). *Repeat to end, Slst in 1st HDC. (160 hdc)


Row 11) 2 x Slst back to ch1 space. ch3, 2dc behind the ch3 in ch1 space, DC in the next 37 stitches. *((3dc, ch1, 3dc) in the ch1 space, DC in the next 37 stitches. ) x3 (3dc, ch1 in the ch1 space) slst in the top of ch3. (168dc)

(US) Dazzling CAL 2 colors (whole) pattern

The CAL has ended! I have seen some lovely creations coming by. If you haven't made the Dazzling shrug yet, here's the whole pattern. Join the  Facebookgroup  for questions and support! Stitch markers can come in handy Sizes: The pattern has been designed in a way that any size (S to XXXL) can be made. Put your arms up ( Like your an airplane) and let someone else measure from elbow to elbow. That's all you need to know to make your own custom dazzling shrug! You'll be using these measurements in the 3rd part of the CAL. At the end of part 3, your "square" will be elbow to elbow. The Yarn: The yardage is based upon the number of skeins we needed for the sizes. We recommend to use yarn suitable for hook size F/5 and G/6. Colour 1 is the colour with which you will make the edging Colour 2 is the 2nd color of the shrug Size S Colour 1: 985 yards        (900 meters) Colour 2: 739 yards        (675 meters)              Size M
