Crochet is so popular right now! And planned pooling looks amazing! But how do you do it? When using the planned pooling technique, you are the yarn boss! You are in charge and controlling what the yarn has to do. There are different ways to use the planned pooling technique. I'll tell you about the Argyl look, the Cat Candow method and pooling stripes. What yarn to use? You can buy al sorts of variegated yarn, but which one will pool and which won't? The length of the colors must be the same. If your yarn has pink, white and grey. The colors must be consistent. It must be the same length. You will have to get the same number of grey stitches out of every grey color sequence. The pink and white color doesn't have to be the same length as the grey color. The Greg color can have 5 stitches, the pink 3 and the white 7. The more stitches you get out of one color, the bigger your project will be. Planned pooling haken workshop 21 april. Meld je nu aan :) Haken is helemaal hot! En de nieuwste techniek 'planned pooling' ziet er waanzinnig uit! Maar hoe doe je dat nu eigenlijk? Met planned pooling zet je het kleurverloop van het garen naar jouw hand. Je zorgt ervoor dat de kleuren een patroon gaan vormen. Je kunt er verschillende patronen mee maken zoals o.a. de "Argyl" look, rechte strepen of de 'Cat Candow" methode. Welk garen is geschikt? Er zijn verschillende verloop garen verkrijgbaar, maar niet ieder garen is geschikt voor planned pooling. De lengte van de kleur moet hetzelfde zijn. Dus als je wol hebt met de kleuren wit, roze en grijs, dan moeten alle witte stukken (ongeveer) even lang zijn. De roze en grijze kleur hoeft niet even lang te zijn als de witte kleur. Voor een mooi effect moet je minimaal 2 a 3 steken uit 1 kleur kunnen halen. Hoe meer steken je uit 1 kleurverloop kan haken,  hoe groter het project wordt. Als je met Hem

Planned pooling! (For US terms click  HERE ) Wat een verslaving is dat! Ik ben begonnen aan een dekentje voor mijn dochter en kreeg zoveel goede reacties dat ik besloten heb om erover te schrijven! Zo kan jij ook je eigen planned pooling Ice gumball deken maken. Het garen dat ik gebruik is Ice gumball (33396) met kleur verloop in zalm, kaki, camel, room en blauw. Ik vind de kleuren zo mooi! En wat is het zacht! Ik denk dat ik deze deken de   icecream delight  noem. Als ik ernaar kijk, dan krijg ik spontaan zin in lekkere vanille, frambozen, chocolade ijsbollen op een hoorntje. Ik kan je vertellen hoe ik mijn deken heb gehaakt, maar dat wil niet zeggen dat jouw deken hetzelfde wordt als je het op precies dezelfde manier haakt. Planned pooling! ( voor nederlands klik  HIER  ) Oh my what an addiction! I started this blanket for my daughter and got great responses. So I thought I would write about this gorgeous project so you can create your own gumball blanket. The yarn I am using is Ice gumball (33396), 100% premium acrylic, which has a salmon, khaki, creme and blue color sequence. I just loved the color! And it is soft!  I think I will call this blanket  ice cream delight .. when I look at it I think of vanilla, raspberry and chocolate ice cream in a cone..yammm I bought the yarn  HERE ! Worldwide shipping! Planned pooling..there is a science to it. I can tell you how I made my blanket, but that doesn't mean that your blanket will be the same! Planned pooling is all about tension and hook size. So here are some tips to get started! I centre pulled my skein, every new skein I add, I must centre pull it. Otherwise the colour sequence will be opposite of what you have crocheted before.
