So chique shawl part one!

Materials:
Crochet hook 3mm/
Ruler (1,2 inch high)
tapestry needle
scissors
2 skeins Alize angora gold simli (5652)
Or 1000 meter/ 1093 yards

Abbreviations

Magic circle (MC)
Slip stitch (SL.ST.)
Chain (CH)
Single crochet (SC)
Half double crochet (HDC)
Double crochet (DC)
Off set stitch (OSS)
(Make a DC in the marked stitch, yarn over, *(move the hook in between the space of the DC and the previous DC. yarn over, pull up a loop) * repeat 2 times.Yarn over. Leaving 2 loops on the hook,pull through the loops. Yarn over and pull through 2.)
Front post double crochet (FPDC)
(Yarn over, working at the front of your work, place the hook under the marked stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull .through 2, yarn over, pull through 2. )
Triple treble crochet (TRTR)
(Yarn over 5 times, Place your hook in the marked stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, *(yarn over, pull through 2), * repeat till all he loops are crocheted.)

Loops
(Pull up a big loop to fit over the ruler, place it on the ruler and remove your hook. Place your hook in the next stitch and pull up a loop. Place it on the ruler and repeat.)

Front loop only (FLO)
Only crochet a stitch in the front loop

Back loop only (BLO)
Only crochet a stitch in the back loop

You won't need the ruler in part one :)

Pattern:
  1. MC, (or ch4, sl.st in the 1st ch.), ch3, 4DC in the MC, ch2,  5DC in the MC. (10DC)
  2. Ch3, turn, 2DC in the 1st stitch, 1DC in the next 4 stitches, (2DC, ch2, 2DC) in the ch2 space, 1DC in the next 4 stitches, 3DC in the top of ch3. (18DC)
  3. Ch3, turn, 2DC in the 1st stitch, 1DC in the next 8 stitches, (2DC, ch2, 2DC) in the 2 ch space, 1DC in the next 8 stitches, 3DC in the top of ch3. (26DC)
  4. Ch3, turn, 2DC in the 1st stitch, ch1, *(Skip 1 stitch, 1DC in the next, ch1) * repeat 5 times, 1DC in the last stitch just before the ch2 space (2DC, ch2, 2DC) in the 2 ch space, 1DC  in the next stitch, *(skip 1 stitch, 1DC in the next stitch, ch1) *repeat 5 times, ch1, 3DC in the top of ch3. (22DC, 14ch)
  5. ch3, turn, 2DC in the first stitch, 1DC in the next 2 stitches, 1DC in the ch1 space, *( 1DC in the next stitch, 1DC in the ch1 space) *repeat 5 times. 1DC in the next 3 stitches, (2DC, ch2, 2DC) in the ch2 space, 1DC in the next 3 stitches, *(1DC in the ch1 space, 1DC in the next stitch) *repeat 6 times, 1DC in the next 2 stitches, 3DC in the top of ch3. (US) Dazzling CAL 2 colors (whole) pattern

The CAL has ended! I have seen some lovely creations coming by. If you haven't made the Dazzling shrug yet, here's the whole pattern. Join the  Facebookgroup  for questions and support! Stitch markers can come in handy Sizes: The pattern has been designed in a way that any size (S to XXXL) can be made. Put your arms up ( Like your an airplane) and let someone else measure from elbow to elbow. That's all you need to know to make your own custom dazzling shrug! You'll be using these measurements in the 3rd part of the CAL. At the end of part 3, your "square" will be elbow to elbow. The Yarn: The yardage is based upon the number of skeins we needed for the sizes. We recommend to use yarn suitable for hook size F/5 and G/6. Colour 1 is the colour with which you will make the edging Colour 2 is the 2nd color of the shrug Size S Colour 1: 985 yards        (900 meters) Colour 2: 739 yards        (675 meters)              Size M
